| Lời dạy của Đức Hộ Pháp căn dặn có một điều nên để ý là làm sao ngày qui liễu, gởi thánh cốt tại đất Thánh Địa vì trái địa cầu 68 nầy không có chổ đất nào quí hóa cho bằng đất Thánh Địa, nếu để được cốt hài nơi đây rồi thì rất hạnh phúc cho tương lai con cháu. | A teaching from His Holiness Hộ Pháp advises us to pay attention to one thing: how, on the day of passing away, to entrust one’s sacred remains to the Holy Land. Because on this earth, number 68, there is no land more precious than the Holy Land. If one can leave one’s remains here, it will bring great fortune to the future of one’s descendants. |

| Dầu nơi Cực Lạc cũ, hay đất mới cùng là Nghĩa Địa; đất 50 mẫu ở Long Thành cũng vậy, Bần Đạo đã biết bên nước Tàu; hễ ông, bà, cha, mẹ họ có qui, họ quàng lại để chọn ngày hoặc chỗ đất tốt có hàm rồng, dầu phải 5, 3, năm họ cũng đợi kiếm được mới làm lễ an táng, vì bên nước Tàu có nhiều nhà biết thiên văn, hay khoa coi bói họ giỏi. | Whether it’s at the old Paradise or the new land that is the Cemetery, or the 50 mẫu¹ of land in Long Thành, it is the same. I know that in China, whenever their grandparents or parents pass away, they keep the body aside to choose an auspicious day or a good plot of land that has a “dragon’s jaw” (hàm rồng)². Even if it takes three or five years, they wait until they find one before performing the burial ceremony, because in China there are many experts who know astronomy or are skilled in the art of divination. |
