| Bần Đạo cho toàn thể con cái của Đức Chí Tôn nam, nữ đều biết rằng: Đạo phải giữ nền văn hiến của nòi giống chúng ta bốn ngàn năm sẵn có từ thử đến giờ ở trong khuôn khổ đạo đức tinh thần của Tổ Phụ chủng tộc nước nhà cho còn tồn tại. | I want all the children of the Supreme Being, men and women, to know this: the Way must preserve the four-thousand-year-old culture and civilization of our race that has existed since time immemorial, within the moral and spiritual framework of the Forefathers of our nation and race, so that it may endure. |

Even without my saying it, many of you already know that this is the responsibility of the members of the Charitable Body. |
| Đức Chí Tôn đến, có điều thiết yếu hơn hết, Ngài đến là vì con cái của Ngài quá khổ, Ngài đến với cái sở định của Ngài, là đến cứu khổ cho toàn thể con cái của Ngài. | The Supreme Being came for a most essential reason: He came because His children were suffering too much. He came with His ordained purpose, which was to come and relieve the suffering for all His children. |
| Cơ cứu khổ ấy trong lúc ban sơ, Đức Chí Tôn đã đưa trong tay Hiệp Thiên Đài. | In the beginning, the Supreme Being placed that instrument for relieving suffering into the hands of the Heavenly Union Palace. |

| Hồi đó Hội Thánh Phước Thiện chưa thành lập, giao cơ cứu khổ, Bần Đạo không biết phải làm thế nào, nhưng chẳng bao lâu Ngài lập thành Hội Thánh Phước Thiện, chừng đó Bần Đạo mới biết cơ cứu khổ là đây. | At that time, the Sacerdotal Council of the Charitable Body was not yet established. Being handed the instrument for relieving suffering, I did not know what to do. But before long, He established the Sacerdotal Council of the Charitable Body, and only then did I know: this is the instrument for relieving suffering. |
| Ấy vậy, Hội Thánh Cửu Trùng Đài là Hội Thánh của Giáo Tông, còn Hội Thánh Phước Thiện là của Hộ Pháp. | Thus, the Sacerdotal Council of the Nine Spheres Palace is the Sacerdotal Council of the Pope, while the Sacerdotal Council of the Charitable Body belongs to the Hộ Pháp. |

| Ấy vậy, phận sự Hội Thánh Phước Thiện là phận sự tượng trưng hình ảnh Đức Chí Tôn đặng cứu khổ cho con cái của Ngài, xin nhớ. | Therefore, the duty of the Sacerdotal Council of the Charitable Body is the duty of symbolizing the image of the Supreme Being in order to relieve the suffering of His children. Please remember this. |

| Bao giờ cũng vậy, nền Tôn Giáo từ hai ngàn năm nay là nền Thiên Chúa Giáo hay là Đạo Gia Tô mà về Phước Thiện họ còn sơ sót chưa mỹ mãn, huống chi mình, Bần Đạo không trách nhưng chỉ có một điều là trong Thánh Thể Đức Chí Tôn gánh vác cái khổ cho con cái của Ngài rất nên yếu ớt. | It has always been so. The Religion of Catholicism, or the Catholic Religion, has existed for two thousand years, yet in their charitable works, they still have shortcomings and are not perfect, let alone us. I do not find fault, but there is one thing: the Divine Body of the Supreme Being is very weak in shouldering the suffering of His children. |
| Không đủ tâm lực, không đủ phương chước. | We do not have enough mental strength, nor enough methods. |
| Chỉ ước mong Đức Chí Tôn ban ân riêng đặc biệt vì trách vụ nặng nề ấy, đặng cầm cơ cứu khổ của Đức Chí Tôn mạnh mẽ và cương quyết, nhưng ta cũng nên biết thêm rằng: An ủi cho được một người thống khổ không phải dễ, đem cơ cứu khổ ấy thiệt hiện ra đặng cho cả thiên hạ được hưởng hồng ân của Đức Chí Tôn, chúng ta thấy lại càng thêm khó. | We can only hope that the Supreme Being will bestow a special and particular grace for this heavy responsibility, so we can hold the instrument of the Supreme Being for relieving suffering strongly and resolutely. But we should also know this: to comfort a single suffering person is not easy. To manifest that instrument for relieving suffering so that all the people may enjoy the grace of the Supreme Being, we see that it is even more difficult. |
| Phải cố gắng đã đành, xong nên chăng là do quyền năng Thiêng Liêng giúp sức. | We must strive, that is certain, but whether we succeed or not is due to the help of a Divine power. |
| Những yếu nhân đương quyền về Phước Thiện, Bần Đạo thấy giờ phút nầy tin là mấy em Kỳ Lão Phạm Môn, nhưng họ lại có đặc quyền khác, họ còn ở Phước Thiện là bởi Phước Thiện thiếu người cầm quyền chấp chánh, nên Bần Đạo để họ qua cầm quyền, không phải là đặt phận sự của họ. | The key figures currently in charge of the Charitable Body, I see at this moment, I trust are the Elders of the Gate of Buddha (Kỳ Lão Phạm Môn). But they have other specific rights; they are still in the Charitable Body because the Charitable Body lacks people to hold executive power, so I have let them hold power there. This is not to define their duty. |

| Hy sinh từ tóc xanh đến bạc đầu, lao tâm lao lực. | They have sacrificed, from the time their hair was black until it turned gray, exhausting their minds and bodies. |
| Bần Đạo tưởng đến càng làm thêm ra nữa là càng thêm khổ cho họ. | To think of them taking on even more is to add to their suffering. |
| Hai mươi mấy năm lập Phước Thiện đoàn tiền bối qui liễu lần hồi, chỉ đám thanh niên lúc nọ còn lại năm bảy người, họ cũng đã da mồi tóc bạc. | For over twenty years since the establishment of the Charitable Body, the group of predecessors has passed away one by one. Of the young men from that time, only five or seven remain, and their skin has also become mottled and their hair has turned gray. |
| Mấy người đã biết sở yếu của mình là thiếu Chức Sắc Thiên Phong thì do nơi mấy người định vị cho họ, xúm đưa họ lên cầu nguyện cùng Đức Chí Tôn, cho có các chơn linh hiếu hạnh của Ngài cùng Phật Mẫu, đem vô làm Thánh Thể của Ngài cho cường liệt mạnh mẽ. | You who know that your weakness is the lack of Divinely Ordained Dignitaries—it is up to you to determine their station for them. Gather together, raise them up, and pray to the Supreme Being, ask for the filial souls of Him and the Buddha Mother to be brought in to make His Divine Body strong and powerful. |
| Bần Đạo nói gánh khổ của đời nặng nề lắm, đã nghe nói nặng nề lắm thì không tâm lực, không đủ quyền hành gánh gồng chi nỗi. | I say that the burden of worldly suffering is very heavy. And having heard how heavy it is, how can one possibly carry it without sufficient mental strength and authority? |
| Đặc phận ấy muốn làm cho trọn vẹn phải cố gắng cho lắm làm mới được, xem đàn anh họ đã hy sinh thế nào rồi, đàn em bắt chước theo. | To fulfill that special duty completely, one must strive greatly. Look at how your elders have sacrificed, and the younger ones must imitate them. |
| Họ dám hy sinh cả sanh mạng tài sản, cả kiếp sanh của họ, không biết gì là gia đình, không biết gì là danh vọng, không biết gì tới thân hình. | They dared to sacrifice their lives and property, their entire existence. They knew nothing of family, nothing of fame, nothing of their own bodies. |
| Có nhiều người phải lao lực mà chết biết bao nhiêu kể, mấy em hiển nhiên ngó thấy. | Countless numbers died from overexertion; you have all seen this clearly. |
| Về phương pháp hành thiện Bần Đạo nói: Chơn Pháp bên Phước Thiện có điều này trọng yếu hơn hết, từ bực Hành Thiện muốn lên Giáo Thiện phải tạo nghiệp cho đủ 12 gia đình theo chơn pháp. | Regarding the method of performing charitable acts, I say: The True Dharma within the Charitable Body has this most important rule. From the rank of Performer of Good Deeds (Hành Thiện), to advance to the rank of Charitable Teacher (Giáo Thiện), one must accomplish the deed of supporting 12 families according to the true dharma. |
| Giáo Nhi từ trước cho lên Giáo Thiện là thể theo lòng từ bi bác ái của Đức Chí Tôn mà ân tứ, nhưng Giáo Nhi có thể lên Lễ sanh chớ không được lên Giáo Thiện, vì thiếu luật tạo nghiệp cho 12 gia đình. | Previously, Children's Catechist (Giáo Nhi) were promoted to Charitable Teacher according to the compassion and universal love of the Supreme Being, by His grace. But a Children's Catechist can be promoted to Student-Priest, not to Charitable Teacher, because they lack the fulfillment of the law of accomplishing the deed for 12 families. |
| Nếu thiếu một người trong số 12 người ấy, thì phải dừng lại bực Hành Thiện mà thôi, chớ không thăng lên Giáo Thiện. | If they lack even one person from that number of 12, they must stop at the rank of Performer of Good Deeds and cannot be promoted to Charitable Teacher. |
| Tạo nghiệp cho 12 gia đình không phải đem bà con vào đó mà được, tạo nghiệp cho mỗi gia đình phải có bằng chứng là ngoại nhân chớ không phải đem bà con cật ruột thì truất bỏ chẳng kể công nghe vậy chưa? | Accomplishing the deed for 12 families is not done by bringing in one's relatives. For each family, there must be proof that they are outsiders. If one brings in close relatives, it will be nullified and not counted as merit, do you understand? |
| Bởi vì bậc Hành Thiện phải làm thiện, nhưng nếu làm cho thân bằng mình, anh em của mình, làm cho gia đình mình thì không phải kể cho là hành thiện. | Because a Performer of Good Deeds must perform good deeds, but if one does them for one's own relatives, one's siblings, one's own family, it is not counted as performing good deeds. |
| Ấy vậy cơ quan cứu khổ Hội Thánh phải chọn người tâm đức biết hy sinh mình đặng thực hiện cơ quan cứu khổ ấy. | Thus, the Sacerdotal Council's instrument for relieving suffering must select people of virtuous heart who know how to sacrifice themselves to realize that instrument. |
| Phải tuyển chọn người tâm đức hiền lương từ bi bác ái vị tha vô vị kỷ mới đáng giá phẩm vị mình. | It must select people of virtuous heart, who are gentle, compassionate, altruistic, and selfless to be worthy of their rank. |
| Nên nhớ, Hội Thánh Phước Thiện không có hàm chức như Hành Chánh, phải đi theo lên cho tới tột phẩm Phật Tử. | Remember, the Sacerdotal Council of the Charitable Body does not have honorific positions like the Administrative Body does. One must progress up to the highest rank of Phật Tử (Child of Buddha). |
| Những Chức Sắc hàm chức ngày nay Bần Đạo sẽ kiếm thế đưa qua Ban Kỳ Lão hết. | The Dignitaries who hold honorific positions today, I will find a way to move them all to the Committee of Elders (Ban Kỳ Lão). |

| Trí Huệ Cung bên Phạm Môn tạo tác đây là nhà tu của nữ phái, giờ phút này Bần Đạo mới nói thiệt tại sao làm nhà tu cho Phái Nữ trước. | The Palace of Wisdom that is being built on the side of the Gate of Buddha is the place of spiritual practice for the female branch. At this moment, I will tell you the real reason why the place of spiritual practice for the Female branch was built first. |
