Bần Đạo chẳng cần nhắc lại cả thảy quốc dân Việt Nam cũng đã biết rằng: Nòi giống của mình vẫn là một nòi giống của Tàu. I do not need to repeat it, for the entire Vietnamese people already know: Our race is indeed a race related to the Chinese.
Nước Việt Nam của chúng ta đã bị Trung Hoa thâu phục hết rồi. Our Vietnam was once completely subjugated by China.
Tổ quán của chúng ta chỉ còn có Đông Kinh, tức nhiên là Bắc Việt. Our ancestral land now only consists of Tonkin, that is, North Vietnam.
Hôm nay sợ e về tay Trung Hoa mà chớ. Today, I fear it may fall into the hands of China.
Ấy vậy ta còn danh Việt mà mất Tổ quán. Thus, we retain the name “Viet” but have lost our ancestral homeland.
Dân Việt ta bị đau khổ về mặt đời thử thách của Đức Chí Tôn đặng trả kiếp tiền khiên của Tổ Phụ ta đã tạo thành. Our Vietnamese people suffer in worldly terms as a trial from the Supreme Being to repay the karmic debts created by our Forefathers.
Hôm nay Thầy được danh dự của Đại Từ Phụ ban cho cầm cây cờ cứu khổ để giải khổ cho nhơn loại, mình đã đau khổ mà đặng lãnh sứ mạng Thiêng Liêng để an ủi đau khổ của thiên hạ. Today, your Teacher has the honor, bestowed by the Great and Merciful Father, of holding the banner of salvation to relieve the suffering of humanity. We ourselves have suffered, yet we are entrusted with the Divine mission to comfort the suffering of the world.
Điều ấy làm cho chúng ta suy gẫm lung lắm đó vậy. This gives us much to reflect upon.
Thật ra có hai cái đau khổ, cái đau khổ về xác thịt nó còn dễ chịu, khổ về tâm hồn nó thái quá, mà Đức Chí Tôn lại cho tâm hồn là trọng, không coi thể xác là trọng. In truth, there are two kinds of suffering. Physical suffering is bearable, but spiritual suffering is excessive. Yet the Supreme Being considers the soul to be important, not the physical body.
Bởi vì quyền năng vô đối của Ngài muốn vậy. Because His unparalleled power wills it so.
Hại thay! Ngài không đến với các chủng tộc nhưng Ngài đã đến với chúng ta. Alas! He did not come to the [powerful] races, but He came to us.
Vì Ngài muốn đem sắc dân hèn mạt thất quốc làm Thánh Thể của Ngài tức nhiên là Hội Thánh đặng đem rải khắp nơi hột giống thương yêu vô đối của Ngài, tức nhiên Đại Từ Bi, Đại Bác Ái đó vậy. Because He wanted to take a lowly people who had lost their country to be His Divine Body, that is, the Sacerdotal Council, in order to spread everywhere the seeds of His unparalleled love, which is Great Compassion and Great Charity.
Hôm nay Bần Đạo cầm cờ và ôm khối ấy đặng bủa khắp trong nước Trung Hoa tức nhiên là một chủng tộc của chúng ta. Today, I hold that banner and embrace that bloc to spread it throughout China, which is a race related to us.
Ở nhà Bần Đạo cậy cả toàn thể con cái Đức Chí Tôn, các cơ quan Chánh Trị Đạo, cầu nguyện dùm cho Bần Đạo làm sứ mạng cho thành công và đắc lực. While I am away, I rely on all the children of the Supreme Being and the Bodies of Religious Politics to pray for me, that I may fulfill this mission successfully and effectively.
