| Đêm Bần Đạo giảng Luật Thương Yêu, Quyền Công Chánh của Đức Chí Tôn đã đến ký Hòa Ước với chúng sa, để cả chơn truyền trong tâm hồn của ta. | Tonight I will preach on the Law of Love and the Power of Justice of the Supreme Being, who has come to sign a Covenant with us, to bestow the entire true transmission within our souls. |
| Bần Đạo giảng về Luật Yêu Thương và Quyền Công Chánh đối với lẽ sống hiện tại của nhơn loại. | I will speak about the Law of Love and the Power of Justice in relation to the present life of humanity. |
| Chúng ta đã ngó thấy, cả toàn thể nhơn loại nơi mặt địa cầu nầy, các dân tộc, các quốc gia liệt cường bị đảo lộn rối loạn, nhơn loại không được hưởng thái bình của Đức Chí Tôn hứa hẹn là do nơi khuôn Luật Thương Yêu và Quyền Công Chánh không có hiện tượng tại thế nầy. | We have seen that all of humanity on this globe, all peoples, all great nations, are in turmoil and chaos. Humanity does not enjoy the peace promised by the Supreme Being because the framework of the Law of Love and the Power of Justice is not manifest in this world. |
| “Nhơn tâm chi linh” Tâm con người ta bao giờ cũng vọng niệm thay đổi và theo luật định thiên nhiên của họ. | “The human heart is fickle.” The human heart is always filled with changing delusive thoughts and follows its own natural laws. |
| Họ muốn dung hòa cả tâm lý nhơn loại, nhứt là hạng thượng lưu trí thức của nhơn loại đã đặt quá nhiều luật pháp, quá nhiều quyền hành, mà hễ càng đào tạo nhiều luật pháp và nhiều quyền hành chừng nào thì nhơn loại càng ly loạn chừng nấy, ở các nước giờ phút nầy cả nền chánh trị toàn thể nhơn loại bị đảo lộn. | They wish to harmonize all human psychology, especially the upper intellectual class of humanity, who have established too many laws, too much authority. Yet, the more laws and authority are created, the more humanity falls into disorder. At this moment, in all countries, the entire political foundation of all humanity is overturned. |
| Họ muốn tìm cái giải pháp làm cho dung hòa tâm lý đặng đem cái hòa bình thiệt hiện | They seek a solution to harmonize psychology in order to bring about true peace. |
| Hại thay! Họ đã tìm tàng không biết bao nhiêu phương pháp, họ định không biết bao nhiêu luật lệ mà không kết liễu gì hết. | Alas! They have searched for countless methods, they have established countless rules, yet it concludes nothing. |
| Bởi có các luật lệ ấy tùng theo luật tương đối nó vẫn mâu thuẩn nhau mà thôi, mặt luật duy nhứt là mặt Luật Thương Yêu mà thiên hạ quên lửng thiên hạ đã bỏ nó. | Because these laws follow relative principles and are always contradictory. The only true law is the Law of Love, which people have forgotten and abandoned. |
| Hại thay! Bỏ nó thì nhơn tâm không có căn bản không có chuẩn thằng mực thước. | Alas! Abandoning it, the human heart has no foundation, no standard, no measure. |
| Chúng ta thử nghĩ, trong một gia đình nếu không khuôn luật thương yêu ấy không có, thì chồng không thuận vợ, vợ chẳng thuận chồng, con không thuận cha, cha chẳng thuận con, tôi không thuận chúa, chúa chẳng thuận tôi. | Let us consider: in a family, if that framework of loving law is absent, then husband is not harmonious with wife, wife not with husband; child not with father, father not with child; servant not with master, master not with servant. |
| Hỏi ta lấy cái tối thiểu luận ra cái tối đại kia, trong gia đình ta chỉ dụng cái gia nghiêm mà thôi, gia nghiêm là khuôn luật thương yêu trong gia đình. | If we reason from the smallest to the largest: in our family, we only use family discipline. Family discipline is the framework of the law of love within the family. |
| Nếu ai đi ngoài vòng luật ấy thì không đặng, gia nghiêm buộc họ phải tùng theo khuôn luật thương yêu ấy mà thôi. | If anyone steps outside that law, it is not permitted; family discipline compels them to follow that framework of loving law. |
| Chúng ta thử hỏi? Một bằng cớ hiển nhiên con ta không phải lớn hơn ta, mà tới chừng khuôn luật thương yêu bắt buộc ta tùng theo khuôn khổ thiên nhiên của nó. | Let us ask: Is it not evident that our child is not greater than us? Yet, when the framework of the law of love compels us, we must follow its natural bounds. |
| Ngộ nghỉnh thay! Con ta đủ quyền sai khiến ta, vì tình thương yêu lợi dụng ta được mà thôi. | How remarkable! Our child has the full right to command us, solely because love can make use of us. |
| Chúng sa thử lấy cái tối thiểu ấy so sánh với cái tối đại cả nhơn loại nếu mất luật thương yêu thì đem chìu sống của nhơn loại đáo đến nước tương tàn tương sát giết hại lẫn nhau, làm cho mặt địa cầu nầy phải chinh nghiêng, làm cho tâm lý nhơn loại đảo điên. | Let us compare this smallest example with the largest: all of humanity. If the law of love is lost, it leads the course of human life to a state of mutual destruction and slaughter, killing one another, causing this globe to tilt, causing human psychology to become deranged. |
| Chúng ta đã ngó thấy chán chường, thiên hạ đã nói tìm hòa bình, mà trong hòa bình ấy luật thương yêu không có hiện diện không có kết liễu hình tướng được, thì họ chỉ mò trăng nơi đáy biển mà thôi. | We have seen wearily that people talk of seeking peace, but if in that peace the law of love is not present, cannot take form and conclude, then they are merely groping for the moon at the bottom of the sea. |
| Cái khuôn luật thương yêu nó làm mực thước cho chúng ta đặng định quyền công chánh trong một gia đình, nếu vợ không công chánh với chồng, chồng không công chánh với vợ, thì gia đình không thể gì hòa đặng. | The framework of the law of love serves as a measure for us to establish the power of justice within a family. If the wife is not just toward the husband, the husband not just toward the wife, then the family cannot be harmonious. |
| Vua không công chánh với tôi, tôi không công chánh với vua, không lấy tâm não làm mực thước thì trong nước không có hòa đặng. | If the king is not just toward his subjects, the subjects not just toward the king, if the mind is not used as the measure, then the country cannot achieve harmony. |
| Nhơn loại cả toàn thể không có công chánh đối đãi với nhau, thì nhơn loại ly loạn mãi thôi, chẳng hề khi nào hưởng được cái hạnh phúc hòa bình. | If all of humanity does not treat each other with justice, then humanity will remain in perpetual disorder and never enjoy the happiness of peace. |
| Ấy vậy khuôn luật của Đức Chí Tôn để trong cửa Đạo, là khuôn Luật Thương Yêu và cái quyền hành Công Chánh. | Thus, the framework of law that the Supreme Being has placed within the door of the Way is the framework of the Law of Love and the power of Justice. |
| Giờ phút nào nhơn loại biết lợi dụng mặt luật và quyền năng ấy mới đem cái hạnh phúc hòa bình cho nhơn loại tương lai tới đây. | Only when humanity knows how to utilize that law and power will it bring the happiness of peace to humanity in the future that is coming. |
| Bằng chẳng vậy, thì cái nạn tương tàn, tương sát vẫn tiếp tục mãi mà thôi. | If not, then the calamity of mutual destruction and slaughter will continue forever. |
