| Các bạn cùng Bần Đạo. Hôm nay đã thêm một tuổi nữa tức Bần Đạo đã 67 tuổi. | To my friends and myself. Today I am one year older; that is, I am 67 years old. |
| Thưa cùng Chư Huynh, Chư Đệ. | To my Elder and Younger Brothers. |
| Giữa thế kỷ 20 đạo đức suy vi, nhơn luân điên đảo, phong hóa suy đồi. | In the middle of the 20th century, morality is in decline, human ethics are overturned, and customs are decaying. |
| Bởi cớ cho nên, Đức Chí Tôn đến đặng chung chịu cùng con cái đau khổ của Ngài, | For this reason, the Supreme Being came to share in the suffering of His children, |

| Cả thảy Thánh Thể đều thấy một nền Tôn Giáo tối cổ đã đến lập quốc cho nước Việt Nam nầy là Nho Tông, | The entire Divine Body sees that a most ancient Religion has come to establish the nation for this Vietnam, which is Confucianism; |
| Tổ Phụ ta để lại nền Nho Tông cốt yếu giữ gìn bảo trọng Nhơn luân của Nhơn loại. | our Forefathers left the Confucian tradition essentially to preserve and protect the Human Ethics of Humanity. |
| Vì cớ cho nên, Ngài đến lấy căn bản ấy làm “Thước ngọc, khuôn vàng” cho toàn thể tâm lý nhơn sanh. | For this reason, He came and took that foundation as the “Jade Standard, Golden Framework” for the psychology of all sentient beings. |
| Bởi cớ cho nên Ngài để hai tiếng “Chuyển Thế“ | For this reason, He used the two words “World Transformation” (Chuyển Thế). |
| chẳng cần luận cho xa xuôi, Thánh Thể đều biết giữa buổi nguy hiểm khó khăn này, | No need to discuss it at length; the Divine Body knows that in this dangerous and difficult time, |
| Đại Từ Phụ đã đến giao cho ta một phận sự Thiêng Liêng như thế đó. | the Great and Merciful Father came to entrust us with such a Divine duty. |
| Phận sự khó khăn không có hình hài xác thịt, Ngài đến phú thác phận sự cho ta làm Cha, làm Thầy. | A difficult duty without a physical form; He came to entrust us with the duty of being Fathers, being Teachers. |
| Phận sự Thiêng Liêng làm Cha thế nào, làm Thầy thế nào gìn trọn, cả thảy khuôn luật đó dường nào, | How to fulfill the Divine duty of a Father, how to fulfill the duty of a Teacher completely, what all those frameworks and laws are like, |
| cả con cái Đức Chí Tôn đều hiểu biết. | all the children of the Supreme Being understand. |
| Làm Cha là tạo sự nghiệp, tạo hạnh phúc lưu lại cho con. | Being a Father is creating an enterprise, creating happiness to leave for one’s children. |
| Làm Thầy là tạo trí óc tinh thần danh thể và hạnh phúc tương lai cho nó. | Being a Teacher is creating the mind, spirit, reputation, and future happiness for them. |
| Làm chủ hai phận sự ấy khó khăn biết mấy! | Mastering those two duties is difficult indeed! |
| Trong đại gia đình Thiêng Liêng của Đức Chí Tôn giao phó cho ta phải theo một khuôn luật thiên nhiên ấy, | In the spiritual Great Family that the Supreme Being entrusted to us, we must follow that natural law, |
| là khuôn luật tiểu gia đình của ta mà thôi không chi khác. | which is simply the law of our small family, nothing else. |
| Lạ gì tuồng đời đương buổi này, tâm lý của nhơn loại thế nào ta đã chán biết. | It is no surprise in this worldly drama; we know well enough the psychology of humanity. |
| Trong một gia đình con cái bất hòa với nhau, bao nhiêu tội lỗi ấy đều trút trên đầu của người Cha nó. | In a family, if children are in discord with each other, all those sins are poured onto the head of their Father. |
| Trong một trường, nếu có tranh hơn, tranh thua, tranh ngu, tranh khôn, tranh hơn, tranh thiệt, | In a school, if there is competition for superiority, competition in success and failure, competition in stupidity and wisdom, competition for gain and loss, |
| cả danh vọng quyền thế bao giờ kẻ bất mãn cũng đổ trút trên đầu Thầy nó, lẽ tự nhiên vẫn vậy. | all fame and power… the disgruntled ones always pour the blame onto the head of their Teacher; such is the natural way. |
| Trong một gia đình dầu cho Ông Cha công bình thế nào, | In a family, no matter how just the Father is, |
| đứa con bất mãn hoang đàng chi địa, vô nghĩa, vô nghì nó đổ trên đầu Cha nó, nó nói Cha nó hại nó. | a disgruntled, wayward, unrighteous, and ungrateful child will pour blame on his Father’s head, saying his Father harmed him. |
| Trong một trường lập thân danh nó không nên với đời, nó cho Thầy nó dở dạy, | In a school, if one fails to establish a reputation in the world, one blames the Teacher for poor instruction, |
| tấn tuồng đời vẫn vậy. | the drama of the world is ever thus. |
| Mấy em! Cả thảy Nam, Nữ Lưỡng Phái, Qua nói thật, | My younger brothers and sisters! All of you, Male and Female contingents, I speak the truth: |
| “Trường hợp biến thiên ra vì con cái của Đạo không đủ yêu ái, không đủ căn bản tinh thần đạo đức, nó mới ra nông nỗi”. | “The changing circumstances arise because the children of the Way lack enough love, lack enough of a foundation in spiritual virtue; that is why it has come to this plight.” |
| Mấy em biết một gia đình nhỏ mọn kia, nếu xảy ra sự vô phúc ấy, nó làm thế nào? | You know, if such misfortune happens in a small family, what can be done? |
| Huống chi đại gia đình Thiêng Liêng của Đức Chí Tôn giao phó, Thánh Thể của Ngài cho Qua, | How much more so for the spiritual Great Family entrusted by the Supreme Being, His Divine Body given to me— |
| tránh sao cho khỏi, làm thế nào tránh cho khỏi những kẻ ấy. | how can I avoid it, how can I avoid such people? |
| Một Ông Cha tạo con cái của mình chia từ tinh khí, huyết quản tạo hình hài cho nó, là của sở hữu của mình, | A Father creates his children, sharing his essence and blood to form their bodies; they are his possession, |
| có khi làm chủ tinh thần của nó không được. | yet sometimes he cannot master their spirits. |
| Huống chi nơi cửa Đạo, nơi cửa đại gia đình Thiêng Liêng của Đức Chí Tôn giao phó, | How much more so within the gate of the Way, within the gate of the spiritual Great Family entrusted by the Supreme Being, |
| biết bao nhiêu đầu óc, trí não tâm hồn không đồng một thể. | where there are so many minds, intellects, and souls not of the same substance. |
| Ông Thầy mở một trường như Đức Khổng Tử có quyền lựa chọn môn đồ của Ngài. | A Teacher opening a school, like Confucius, has the right to choose His disciples. |
| Trái lại trong đại gia đình của Đức Chí Tôn, Thánh Thể của Ngài không quyền lựa chọn, | On the contrary, in the Great Family of the Supreme Being, His Divine Body has no right to choose. |
| thế nào tránh cho khỏi kẻ bất nghĩa vô nghì? | How can one avoid the unrighteous and ungrateful? |
| Mấy em đừng coi điều ấy là trọng hệ, trái lại phải định phận, cố gắng hơn, | Do not consider this a vital matter; instead, define your duty, strive harder, |
| dạy mấy đứa nhỏ nó là hương hỏa tương lai đại gia đình của mấy em và Thánh Thể của Đức Chí Tôn mai hậu. | and teach the little ones. They are the future incense and smoke of your Great Family and the Divine Body of the Supreme Being hereafter. |
| Qua thường nói, nếu giờ phút nào thân già yếu đuối nầy còn, | I often say, as long as this old and weak body remains, |
| Qua cố gắng làm nên sự nghiệp cho Đạo cốt yếu là vì chúng nó. | I strive to build the enterprise for the Way essentially for their sake. |
| Nếu Qua không vì chúng nó, giờ phút nầy chẳng còn lầm lủi đặng tạo dựng cơ nghiệp Thiêng Liêng nầy. | If not for them, at this moment I would not be toiling to build this Divine legacy. |
| Qua là một thằng điên, đáng đem nhốt nơi nhà thương điên Biên Hòa mà chớ! | I would be a madman, worthy of being locked up in the Biên Hòa mental asylum! |
| Một đời Qua chịu khốn khổ, đàn anh của mấy em cũng thế, chung chịu một trường hợp đau đớn như Qua, | All my life I have endured misery; your elder brothers have done the same, sharing a painful situation like mine. |
| Qua không thế nào buổi sanh tiền nầy còn thấy dưới mắt sự đau khổ đối với chúng nó. | While I am alive, I cannot bear to see suffering before my eyes regarding them. |
| Vì cớ cho nên Qua tạo hạnh phúc tương lai cho nó. | For this reason, I create future happiness for them. |
| Mấy em thử nghĩ! Trót 31 năm, cả thảy con cái của Đức Chí Tôn Nam, Nữ Lưỡng Phái, từ trên tới dưới | Think about it! For a full 31 years, all the children of the Supreme Being, both Male and Female, from top to bottom |
| đã hy sinh biết bao nhiêu mồ hôi nước mắt, tạo dựng Đại Nghiệp Thiêng Liêng cho Đạo. | have sacrificed so much sweat and tears to build the Great Divine Legacy for the Way. |
| Vì ai, thử để dấu hỏi? Mấy em sẽ lấy làm đau đớn lắm vậy! | For whom? Ask yourselves this question. You will find it very painful indeed! |
| Trường hợp khi Đức Chí Tôn đến cùng chúng Qua, Ông Già nghèo ấy. | Recall the situation when the Supreme Being came to us, that poor Old Man. |
| Ông đến với một cây Cơ thôi. Ông đến với một xác thân hèn yếu, nghèo nàn. | He came with only a Mediumship Instrument. He came with a humble, weak, and poor physical body. |
| Bởi do nơi hèn yếu đó tạo nên một sự nghiệp trọng đại, | From that weakness and poverty, a great enterprise was created; |
| sự nghiệp đó biết bao nhiêu mồ hôi, nước mắt, xương máu toàn cả mấy em hiện tượng như thế đó. | that enterprise is the manifestation of so much sweat, tears, and blood from all of you. |
| Có một điều đừng lầm lộn, cả con cái của Đức Chí Tôn nhớ điều nầy: | Do not be mistaken about one thing; all children of the Supreme Being remember this: |
| “Giàu sang phú quí của Đạo là cái giàu sang cả toàn thể con cái Đức Chí Tôn đôi triệu người hiệp lại. | “The wealth and glory of the Way is the wealth and glory of all the children of the Supreme Being, the two million people united. |
| Nếu thoản như cả phần tử đôi triệu ấy nghèo khổ, đều thống khổ, | If all the members of those two million are poor and suffering, |
| tới hôm nay mấy em nhìn lụng lại sự nghiệp Thiêng Liêng nầy, | and today you look back at this Divine enterprise, |
| mấy em đào tạo được sang trọng vẽ vang như thế này, | seeing that you have created something so splendid and glorious, |
| mấy em nhớ rằng hình trạng đó là mồ hôi nước mắt thành tướng đó vậy”. | remember that this form is the materialization of sweat and tears.” |
| Chúng Qua có mục đích là phận sự Thiêng Liêng mà chúng Qua thay thế cho Đức Chí Tôn tạo nghiệp Thiêng Liêng cho mấy em, là nghiệp của Đạo. | We have a purpose, which is the Divine duty where we replace the Supreme Being to create a Divine legacy for you, which is the legacy of the Way. |
| Chúng qua mơ ước thật sự. Tâm hồn chúng Qua mơ ước cái giàu sang vinh hiển; | We dream truly. Our souls dream of wealth and glory; |
| đại thể là cái giàu sang vinh hiển đa số, mạnh mẻ hơn, cao trọng hơn thật sự là cái giàu sang vinh hiển của Đạo mà chớ! | generally, the wealth and glory of the majority, stronger and higher, is truly the wealth and glory of the Way! |
| Trái lụng lại dầu cho Đại Nghiệp Thiêng Liêng của Đức Chí Tôn sang trọng thế nào, | Conversely, no matter how splendid the Great Divine Legacy of the Supreme Being may be, |
| mà mấy em bị nghèo hèn đói khó, khổ cực thì giàu sang bóng dáng mà thôi chớ không nghĩa lý gì hết, giả tướng mà thôi. | if you are poor, hungry, difficult, and miserable, then that wealth is but a shadow, meaningless, a false appearance only. |
| Chúng Qua đã nghèo khổ 31 năm trước, Hội Thánh chỉ mong một điều là kiếm phương nuôi cả toàn con cái của Đức Chí Tôn, | We were poor and miserable 31 years ago. The Sacerdotal Council only hoped for one thing: to find a way to feed all the children of the Supreme Being, |
| tìm phương thế nuôi lẫn với nhau chưa hề biết trước Đại Nghiệp Thiêng Liêng vĩ đại như vầy. | to find a means to support one another; we never foresaw such a magnificent Divine Legacy as this. |
| Qua chỉ mong một điều tạo đặng hạnh phúc cho mấy em, đó là mục đích tối yếu trọng của chúng Qua đó vậy. | I only hope for one thing: to create happiness for you. That is our most vital purpose. |
