We thought that the creation of the universe was His business, not ours. |
| Ai dè nó kết-liễu nơi chúng ta, lần tay tính lại thấy một hoàn-cảnh đau-khổ của nòi-giống quyết-liệt , đau-đớn thương-tâm không tả được, chúng ta để lời trách Đại Từ-Phụ và các Đấng Thiêng-Liêng, trách các bạn thân yêu của chúng ta nữa. | Little did we know that it would all come to a head in our time. Looking back, we see that the suffering of humanity is beyond words. We blame the Great and Merciful Father and the Divine Beings, and we even blame our loved ones. |

| Toàn Đạo Nam Nữ lãnh một cái trách-nhiệm trọng-hệ dường ấy mà không có đủ tinh-thần nghị-lực làm tròn nhiệm-vụ, Chư Đạo-hửu làm chứng cái điều ấy, nếu một ngày kia hình tướng của Đạo quả-nhiên như vậy , Bần-Đạo chẳng hề nói đã làm nên cho Đạo cho Đời. | If all male and female followers of the religion do not possess the strong spirit and determination to fulfill such a grave responsibility, then let the fellow believers bear witness to this. If one day the religion does manifest as such, I have said that I had done anything for the religion or for the world. |

| Mãi đến ngày 27-07-1941 Bần-Đạo bị đồ-lưu nơi hải-ngoại, chính mình làm đầu Thánh-thể mà tự nghĩ xét làm không tròn phận-sự đối với Đời với Đạo, trong tâm có nuôi hám-vọng là vui chịu bắt lưu-đày, để gánh khổ cho nước nhà thoát đoạ. | It was not until July 27, 1941 that I was exiled overseas. As the head of the Divine Body, I myself thought that I had not fulfilled my duties to the world and to the religion. In my heart, I cherished the ambition to joyfully accept exile in order to bear the suffering for the country to escape from perdition. |

| Không dè Đạo Cao-Đài có cái tương-lai gánh cả nhơn-quả của toàn nhân-loại trên mặt địa cầu nầy, chẳng riêng một nước Việt-nam mà thôi, cũng không phải riêng cho một giống nòi mình hưởng , chúng ta, con cái của Đúc Chí-Tôn mà bị đồ lưu tức là tội của loài người chưa trả đó. | Little did we expect that Cao Dai religion would have the future of bearing the karmic consequences of the entire human race on this planet, not just for Vietnam alone, and not just for our own race to enjoy. We, the children of the Supreme Being, are being exiled because it is the sin of humanity that has not yet been paid. |
| Cả thảy đều thấy bởi Thiên-cơ, nhưng được hạnh-phúc cho kẻ nào đã đi đến Thiên-Thai kiến-diện nhận định trước sự hạn-định, chẳng phải giấc chiêm-bao mơ-mộng, ôn lại cả hành tàng của loài người, trên mặt địa-cầu nầy, hạn định chưa dứt, tức còn phải trả đến chừng nào hột giống lành của Chí-Tôn mọc lên đã thành cội hoà-bình tâm-lý, đơm bông sanh trái nơi đất Việt-nam nầy, mà khắp địa-cầu toàn nhơn-loại được hưởng hạnh-phúc, bằng chẳng thì do tội-tình nầy mà phải chịu một phen thống-khổ hơn nữa, Thảng không đủ can-đảm cương-quyết thiệt dụng quyền-năng của Ngài thì dù cho Chức-sắc Thiên-phong, Chức-việc, Đạo-hửu cho đến mấy con nhỏ cũng vậy, cái hoạ tương-lai không thể tránh, thì không lấy gì làm lạ, hết giặc-giả đao-binh đến bịnh-chướng sát-hại. | All of these are the Heavenly Secret, but happiness is granted to those who have gone to the divine and spiritual plane for recognition and determination before the deadline. It is not a dream or fantasy, but a review of the entire history of humanity on this planet. The deadline has not yet ended, meaning that it must still be paid until the good seeds of the Supreme Being sprout and become a tree of peace of mind, blossoming and bearing fruit in this land of Vietnam. Only then will all humanity on the entire planet enjoy happiness. Otherwise, due to this sin, they will have to suffer even more. If we do not have enough courage and determination to truly use His power, then it is not surprising that even the highest-ranking dignitaries, officials, followers, and even children cannot avoid the future calamity. After the war and fighting, there will be diseases and massacres. |
| Đã từng chịu phong-ba bảo-tố, bị chìm đắm mà chúng ta còn sống rốn nơi đây (rescapé) tức là Chí-Tôn dành để lại hột giống lành để làm căn-bản cho cội hạnh-phúc hoà-bình đại-đồng thế-giới thì sự ưu-ái nhau rất nồng-nàn hơn tình cốt nhục. | After all that we have been through, we are still alive. This is because the Supreme Being has chosen us to be the seed of a new world, a world of peace and universal brotherhood. We must love each other more than we love our own flesh and blood. |
| Ngày nay cả toàn-cầu thiên-hạ đã chịu thống khổ nên hằng xem chúng mình là giống lành Thiêng-liêng Chí-Tôn đã lựa chọn. | The whole world is now suffering. Therefore, they constantly look at us as the good race chosen by the Supreme Being. |
| Nhận-định là mầm chồi hạnh-phúc chung, thì khối thương-yêu vô-tận nầy, bằng ngòi viết không thể tả được | They see us as the seed of common happiness, and this infinite love cannot be described by writing. |
| Ảnh hưởng cao-trọng tuyệt-đối của sự thương-yêu là đó, mấy em tìm hiểu mà tạo lấy. | The supreme and absolute influence of love is that. You children should learn and create it. |
