| Ai dè may thay ! Ông Josph đêm mệt mỏi nằm mông thấy Thiên-Thần mách bảo, liền bồng đứa trẻ trốn qua Egypte. | Fortunately, Joseph had a dream that night in which an angel told him to flee to Egypt with the child. |
| Hai vợ chồng đào tẩu kịp chớ không thì Chúa cũng bị giết rồi.. | The couple narrowly escaped, or else Jesus would have been killed. |
| Qua Egypte một thời-gian , đúa con lên được 5,6 tuổi, nghe tin bên nước minh đặng yên và có lịnh thiêng-liêng truyền dạy hai vợ chồng trở lại Palestine , chồng làm thợ mộc theo nghề củ, vợ may vá nuôi con, lại sanh thêm ba, bốn người con trai, gái nữa, thành thử cách sống rất nghèo-hèn khổ-não, từ cái đường sông Jourdain Đức Chúa để bước đội nước mỗi ngày giúp mẹ cùng kiếm công một hai cắc. | After some time in Egypt, when the child was 5 or 6 years old, they heard that the situation in their homeland had stabilized and that a divine order had been issued for them to return to Palestine. Joseph returned to his carpentry work, and Mary supported the family by sewing. They had three or four more children, both boys and girls, so they lived in poverty and hardship. | Ông ngồi khóc ròng, đoạn Chúa mới cầu-nguyện rồi cha một đầu con một đầu nắm kéo nhẵng ra cho đủ thước đặng bồi thường cho đủ, bằng không thì chỉ có ở đợ mà trừ. | Joseph sat down and wept. Then Jesus prayed, and he and his father pulled on the ends of the pillars until they were long enough. Otherwise, they would have had to work as servants to pay off the debt. |

Hai ông bà tìm kiếm mãi cũng không thấy con, sợ-sệt, hơ-hải chạy trở lại đền thờ , thấy Jésus ngồi giữa các Bác-sĩ Giáo-chủ đó ngồi chung quanh đương vấn Đạo. | One Sabbath day, a couple went to the Temple to worship and offer sacrifices. When they returned, they realized that Jesus was missing. They asked everyone if they had seen him, but no one had. The couple searched everywhere for their son, becoming increasingly worried. Finally, they returned to the Temple and found Jesus sitting among the religious scholars, listening to them and answering their questions. |
| Bữa nọ tình cờ, tuy vẫn lúc còn ở trong Đền-Thánh, Bà có được tin truyền rằng : Bà sẽ cho loài người nơi mặt thế nầy, bởi nơi lòng bà xuất-hiện ra Đấng Chúa Cứu-Thế, tuy đã biết trước như vậy , nhưng vì chạy kiếm con không thấy, vừa mệt , vùa sợ-sệt đến khi tìm gặp thấy con ngồi thuyết đạo, đã có lòng phiền, bèn kêu Chúa nói:"Sao con làm cho Mẹ khổ-não kiếm con lắm vậy", | One day, by chance, while still in the Holy Temple, she received news that she would bear the Savior of the world. Although she had already anticipated this, she was exhausted and frightened from searching for her son without success. | Đức Chúa lièn nói : "Bà kia, Bà không biết tôi đang làm phận sự của Cha tôi biểu phải làm hay sao ?" Bà mới tỉnh, tự hiểu biết, nên phiền Đức Chúa về lời nói đó. | The Lord immediately said. "Don't you know that I am doing what my Father has commanded me to do?" The woman then came to her senses and realized that she had offended the Lord with her words. |
| Từ đó khi Chúa về nhà thì cũng như mọi đứa trẻ khác, cũng đi đội nước, cũng đục-đẻo làm thợ mộc , phục tùng cha mẹ hiếu hạnh đủ điều. | From then on, when the Lord returned home, he was like any other child, carrying water and working as a carpenter, being obedient and filial to his parents in every way. |
| Trong nhà em út bất hoà, còn ông Jésus hiền lắm, tánh hay nhịn-nhục nên mấy người em thường hay ăn hiếp. | There was discord among the siblings, but Jesus was very kind and had a forgiving nature, so his younger siblings often bullied him. |

| Đến năm 30 mươi tuổi nghe Saint Jean Baptiste truyền-giáo tại bờ sông Jourdain, cũng trong lúc đó , Đức Chúa đến gặp ông đang giải-oan cho thiên-hạ. | At the age of thirty, Jesus heard Saint John the Baptist preaching on the banks of the Jordan River. At that time, the Lord came to him as he was baptizing the people. |
| Khi vừa thấy Đức Chúa ở xa xa đi đến thì ông đã biết là Đấng Chúa Cứu-Thế, mới nói: Từ sáng đến giờ tôi chỉ chờ có một người nầy thôi. | When he saw the Lord approaching from a distance, he knew that he was the Messiah, and he said, "From morning until now, I have been waiting for this one person." |

| Trong buổi vừa hành-pháp xong Đức Chúa dưới sông Jourdain vừa bước lên thì trên không hiện ra hào-quang sáng-suôt , hiện ra giống như chim bồ-câu trắng sa giữa đầu Chúa, ngay giữa thinh-không có tiếng nói :"Nầy con yêu dấu của ta, cả ân-đức của ta để cho Ngươi đó ". | After the baptism was completed, the Lord came up out of the Jordan River, and a bright light appeared in the sky. A white dove descended and landed on the Lord's head, and a voice from heaven said, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." |
| Từ ngày đó, Đức Chúa Jésus là chơn-linh Đấng Christna giáng hạ, cho nên đi truyền-giáo nơi nào , chơn-linh Ngài không phải như ngày sinh-nhật nữa và đã biến thành Chí-Thánh vậy. | From that day on, the Lord Jesus was the soul of Christ who had come down. They hated him and sought to kill him. They accused him to Caesar, saying, "This man is plotting a rebellion to lead the Jews out from under the rule of the Roman regime." But they could not find any fault with him, because his holiness could not be violated. |
